0 Bring Term Limits to Congress

The purpose of this petition is to bring term limits to the U.S. Congress. We the undersigned are petitioning the executive and judicial branches to, either by executive order or by constitutional amendment, establish term limits for the U.S. Congress.

This petition will ask that the limits be: 2 4yr terms for new senators and representatives; 1 4yr term for sitting senators and reps starting with their next election; and keep relatives from inherting a seat in either house of congress without a special election.

The hope of this petition is that it will: prevent political "careers"; break the hold of the PAC's and special interests; and ensure a continual flow of fresh thought.

Essentially, it will make it less attractive, even unwise, to throw millions at a candidate if you know they won't be in congress voting your way for 30 years. Most executive positions, ie: mayors, governors, and the Presidency have term limits. Lets do the same for legislative positions.

p.s. We want to know political affiliation so we can see if this idea is evenly supported.
