2006 FA Cup Final - Abide with me

The purpose of this petition is to express our dismay at having the anthems that precede the FA Cup Final ruined by professional Opera singers. We feel that the anthems are now largely ignored by supporters who have taken to watching and listening to the performing act. We hope that you will give fair consideration to our request that the 2006 FA Cup Final will not include an Opera singer and that the crowd can sing Abide with me and God Save the Queen on the cue of the band. We as Football supporters feel that this would be a return to the best traditions of this most remarkable competition.
