A Posthumous KBE for Jim Cronin (RIP)

This is a petition to help award Jim Cronin (RIP) a posthumous honourary knighthood(he was originally from the USA hence the 'honourary') For anyone unaware of the late Jim Cronin, he and his wife Alison set up MONKEY WORLD (situated in Wareham, Dorset UK) and sanctuary for primates they rescued from all over the globe from the abuse and exploitation of man. Monkey World works with governments all over the world to help halt the illegal and disgusting monkey trade, in which primates are taken smuggled out from their natural habitats and sold on as pets, used as entertainment for the tourist industry and used in unlicensed floating zoos where they are kept in terrible conditions kept from all contact with their own kind thus leading to psychosis later in life and well a pretty rotten life for an animal that has the same rights on this earht that you or I have. Monkey World is home to 162 primates and the organization takes part in the international breeding programme. A process of trying to increase the population of endangered primates in the world by having species breed in captivity with a view of eventually releasing them into the wild. In 2006 Jim was rightfully awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth. Monkey Business a show documenting the couples frequent rescue missions and investigations is still shown on Animal Planet and national geographic and a new series is being filmed, not only is this knighthood deserving (we hand them out to England managers for gods sake) but it will also help raise awareness for the plight of some of these wonderful animals.
