Against the killing of stray dogs in Bangalore

The Karnataka Government has launched a massive drive against stray dogs in the city after two children were mauled to death in less than three months.
These incidents are an exception rather than the norm and do not justify the inhumane treatment meted out to the strays. Though only non-sterilized and ferocious dogs are to be rounded up, most teams have been catching the dogs indiscriminately, for they get a price of Rs. 50 (approx. US$ 1) per dog.
