We, the undersigned, petition Osceola County Commissioners to revoke the development of East Lake Camp Grounds.PRD004-00050 Revised May 25,2005
We do not support the future plans of 422 one family 2 story homes to be developed here.
First, we believe that there are no significant benifits in the future plans to the citizens of Osceola County, the wildlife, the trees, the impact on the highways and the roads.
Second, there is no place left on East Lake Toho for families to go camping on the weekends, for tourist to come and park there RV's, campers, or tents. There is no place to enjoy the wildlife, bird watching, fishing, bike riding, to just sit and relax and watch the boats come and go, or to enjoy the view and just day dream.
Third, The boat ramp that has been talked about for the public is not going to be adequate for large or even small fishing tournaments. Where are the cars, trucks, and trailors going to park?
Fourth, There have been no meetings for the permanent residents of East Lake Camp Grounds with the owner and or buyers to this date 07/08/05. Most of us have older homes that by law can not be moved into Mobile Home Communities. The future plans have not been told to us. None of the residents have the money to buy a piece of land to move there homes onto. We have no place to go !
Fith, our goal is to: SAVE EAST LAKE CAMP GROUNDS. There isn't much left to the REAL FLORIDA!!
We the people of Osceola County would like to thank the County Commissioners for there hard work and time on this matter and hope that the decission will be made to stop this land development.
