Re: Social Security Private Investment Accounts, a $2 Trillion Waste.
It wasnt long ago that Congress and the White House proposed a prescription drug benefit. Which was supposed to benefit Medicare recipients with cheaper drugs but Congress and the White House blocked Medicare from buying prescriptions in bulk.
By doing so, seniors will NOT get the full benefit that was promised them and by doing this it ALLOWED THE DRUG INDUSTRY, HMO AND PPO PRIVATE INSURERS OVER $200 BILLION IN UNJUST PROFITS. It also severely weakened Medicare.
Now Americans PUBLIC SERVENTS are saying that the system is going to collapse sooner than expected and that Medicare must be privatized and given over to the HMO and PPO insurers.
We, the undersigned, see a pattern. Wasting $2 trillion dollars for ONLY creating private accounts is an unwise move. After creating these accounts and NOT only creating a further sustained drain on our American economy but also a reason to privatize Social Security stating that this system is headed even faster towards insolvency is despisal.
Honorable Senator John McCain, you fought and bled for our country. You have stood up and opposed Corporate Tyrants with Campaign Finance Reform. We, the undersigned, urge you to go back to your roots and listen to your heart.
Please no longer allow Lobbying firms to be heard more loudly in the Halls of Congress than the AMERICAN PEOPLE, that you are sworn to serve.
You recently stated If you don't like our solution, give us one.
Well for starters, we the undersigned, ask you to honestly put the interests of the American Public first. Americas budget deficit has ballooned to over $412 billion in 2004 and our National Debt now stands at over 7.6 TRILLION DOLLARS. Please STOP these efforts to add $2 trillion more in a few short years.
It is NOT by privatizing but by Updating and Streamlining the United States Government that will we reverse this economic drain that our politicians have put us in.
It has been estimated that over the first three years of UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE COVERAGE FOR ALL AMERICANS THE POTENTIAL SAVINGS TOTAL $418 BILLION with increased savings while this single-payer system is implemented throughout a ten year period.
Former Presidents George Bush, Jimmy Carter and Gerald R. Ford strongly support Health Care for All Americans.
For the good of ALL Americans please no longer allow your fellow Members of Congress and other public servants to ignore the Values and Principles that our great nation, the United States of America, were founded on and honestly open up and let the American public speak.
