Axe Channel 4 and Channel 5 altogether.

We the undersigned demand that both Channel 4 and Channel 5 are axed altogether.

What can you say about Channel 4. At one time it was the channel to escape to, from all the pap on BBC-1 and ITV, but in recent years has gone completely downhill. Channel 4 has now become the channel for buying and selling property and the channel for endless sleaze. Excluding Countdown, and the American imports, Channel 4's output in general is dreadful. Brookside, Channel 4's best and most popular programme ended up in the knackers yard altogether in 2003 after 21 years. Fifteen to One was another good quality programme to, but that has been axed altogether as well, much to the viewers annoyance and nothing had actually gone wrong with that programme. It was taken off the air just for the sake of it. There is currently one programme that still remains on Channel 4 since the day it was launched on 2nd November 1982 and that is Countdown. Countdown ought to be moved to ITV and then Channel 4 should be axed altogether.

With regards to Channel 5, well that is even worse than Channel 4, it isn't even worth talking about. Before he died, the famous last words of Adam Faith the singer were Channel 5 is shit and how right he was. In all the years Channel 5 has been going, it has produced one decent homegrown programme and that was the soap opera Family Affairs, but for the first two years only with the Hart family. After the first two years though, even Channel 5's one and only best homegrown programme started to go disastrously wrong and finally ended up been axed altogether at the end of 2005. The only other programmes were watching on Channel 5 are the American imports, things like - CSI, The Shield, Boomtown etc. Channel 5 haven't made those programmes at all though, they have only bought the rights to them from America. They can't make anything decent themselves homegrown wise. In my opinion, all American drama series should be on BBC-1 and ITV-1 and at decent times as well, not ridiculous hours. Channel 5 is known as the three f's - films, football and fuck all and the sooner it is axed altogether the better.

Once all the best programmes are transferred from Channel 4 and Channel 5 to BBC-1, BBC-2 and ITV-1, it will be a step closer to axing Channel 4 and Channel 5 altogether. I for one can't see any point in letting Channel 4 and Channel 5 remain broadcasting after this can you.
