BC Legislation for the Protection of Domestic Animals

We want to see legislation put into place in the Province of British Columbia that will change how domestic pets are bred, sold and cared for. We want to see a Province-wide ban on the sale of animals at pet stores and a Province-wide ban on and automatic prosecution of proprietors of puppy mills.

Changes must be put in place that would require certified breeders to register with the Province of British Columbia for an annual fee, and those found breeding without registration be subject to substantial fines payable to the Province.

Animals have rights and deserve to be protected. We need to see this change.
