Beavis and Butthead on TNN

There would be no better cable network to air Beavis and Butthead than TNN. Ever since becoming The National Network, they have brought back such shows as The A-Team, American Gladiators, Baywatch, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and have been the home to WWE Raw for well over a year now. All these programs have produced tremendous ratings. There is no doubt in my mind, as well as millions of others, that Beavis and Butthead would infact produce a large amount of profit and ratings for the network.
For years, people have bombarded MTV headquarters with requests, petitions and demands to bring back Beavis and Butthead. But they have not been met, and as a result, many people from the 90's MTV generation have tuned out MTV programming in general. We have come to the conclusion that MTV will never bring back Beavis and Butthead into their rotation, but now we have new hope with TNN.
Today's animated programing is, for the most part, bland and unimaginative, something no one could ever claim of Mike Judge's animated duo. Young adults and teenagers, two very important audiences to reach for both network satisfaction and ratings, have little to nowhere to turn if they care to watch quality animated programming that will not insult their intelligence, or even be marketed for their age group. In its heyday, Beavis and Butthead was successful enough to spawn a feature film that played in theaters nationwide, a video game franchise, mass merchandise, and more. We believe that the audience is there. The demand is present, but, what of the supply?
Our only hope to see this show anymore is to track down out of print, hard to find video cassettes of selected episodes. This will in no way meet our need for this innovative trailblazing show. Many of America's youth, and even the older crowd, today, feels they are without a voice. The music that is played does not represent us. The movies, cater towards another audience. Instead of changing our tastes, we see no reason why they shouldn't be met. Speaking of which, there is an entire new generation for Beavis and Butthead to reach, so many new topics which could be explored which were not issues in the mid 90's when the series was filmed, thus, opening up the possibility for new episodes if the repeats are successful.
Again, we have the most faith in TNN as a network because they have proven that they too, like the series we support, are innovative, the trendsetters of their industry. Not only has TNN brought us original programming such as the weekly broadcast of RAW, as mentioned, it is also the place to see all our old favorites and that is something that Beavis and Butthead certainly qualifies
Recently TV Guide stated that the old cartoon series, Ren and Stimpy, would be returning to TNN in early 2003. Since Ren and Stimpy was aired on Nickelodeon and originally MTV, TNN should have no problem bringing Beavis and Butthead to its cable network. Viacom owns both TNN and MTV, so it would be a sensible, yet logical move.
