Bring back Looney Tunes on Boomerang!

However, as of October 2004, Cartoon Network does not air any classic Looney Tunes material at all, and to make matters worse, the cartoons are now in danger of being canceled on Boomerang , which is inaccessible to most people, and those who are lucky to have it or have just got it are now noticing this. Instead, both on Cartoon Network and Boomerang, newer programming such as "Dexter's Laboratory" have replaced Looney Tunes's timeslot, which are nowhere near as classic or hilarious as the original Warner Brothers cartoons.
This is not what us cartoon fans were expecting. Not only has Cartoon Network canceled the annual "June Bugs" marathon in 2003, moving it to Boomerang, but also did nothing to help promote the big budget feature "Looney Tunes: Back in Action" in 2003 (except run the commercials and trailers), which was a huge box-office disappointment. This might be because of the minor airtime of these cartoons of Cartoon Network.
The lack of airtime for the Looney Tunes is also going to hurt Warner Brothers, the company that owns the characters, in the long run. Without the television exposure that they used to have, there will soon be an entire generation of children who have no idea who Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Wile E. Coyote and Tweety are. The beloved classic Warner cartoon characters are in danger of becoming as forgotten as Woody Woodpecker or Andy Panda or Mighty Mouse or even some early Hanna-Barbera characters!
However, there are the Golden Collection DVD sets. But there is a limited amount of classic Looney Tunes cartoons available on DVD, and some not even showing cartoons of certain eras (such as 1931-1935 or 1962-1990). When these cartoons were played on TV, all eras were shown (with the exception of the Bosko and Honey cartoons of 1930-1933). Plus, the sales for the DVDs are doing moderate success, showing how much the interest for Looney Tunes is decreasing fast!
The entire Looney Tune cast that set the foundation for American animation humor as we know it deserve better treatment than the one they are receiving now.
The goal of this petition is to have Boomerang (and possibly Cartoon Network) rerun the Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies film library. If the people at Cartoon Network get this message, it will mean that every person in this nation can once again have free access to these classics, without having to buy the DVDs.
