Bring Dharmaraobaba Atram to Justice, arrest Dharmarao baba Atram

Former Maharashtra minister Dharmarao Atram not only killed the endangered chinkara but also "watched it being cut into pieces by his partners in crime".

This has been revealed in statements of eyewitnesses submitted to the High Court which rejected Atram's bail plea and asked him to surrender before the Forest sub-divisional officer at Bhor in Pune district on August 28.

The statements make it clear that the chinkara killing was pre-planned and Atram, then a minister, had set out for the hunt from Mumbai, carrying the telescopic gun used to kill the chinkara. An extra vehicle and plastic bags were arranged to transport the animal.

We therefore urge you to have Mr. Atram arrested, he is a terrorist in the face of a politician. A person like him should not be set free, he is even believed to have serious links with naxalites of the district and uses their power to gain political advantage during elections. It is surprising that inspite of the judiciary being so stringent towards him, the investigating officer is unnecessarily pressurised and there are enough signs to prove that. What is more surprising is that the Forest Minister himself met the culprit one of these days!
