British Transport Police, take responsibity for your actions and re instate PC 4775 WILSON.

Mr Cameron, After six months of protests and requests to meet with the Chief Constable of the British Transport Police. The Justice Minister and yourself, I feel that I now have other option but to create a petition to force you to sit up and listen to us. I am ex British Transport Police officer John Wilson, was forced to resign from my post in the North West of England after suffering what was diagnosed as Severe Work Related Depression and PTSD due to a serious assault whilst on duty in 2006. I arrived at Preston from the London South Area in March 2009 where it was made immediate clear that I was not welcome through theft of personal equipment and other forms of bullying. However, I chose to ignore it and carryon as I was due to marry my fiancé and had moved for a better quality of life and after 35 years of service to this country and felt that I deserved it. Two months after arriving into Preston I was ordered by one of my supervisors to slow down and basically stop arresting offenders? I also witnessed other officers assaulting members of the public, intimidating witnesses, attempting to pervert the course of justice by destroying evidence and my case work being constantly undermined which resulted in a suspect who had been harassing two females being over ruled and released without charge even though he fully admitted the offence. In December 2009, I had cause to arrest an Asian male of Pakistani decent on the car park at Blackburn Railway Station. The male was extremely abusive and uncooperative. Due to his demeanour, I carried out a search for drugs. He constantly told untruths and was in possession of a large sum of cash in £50 notes for which he claimed to have recently taken out of a cash point machine in his wallet? On searching his vehicle, I found a Pakistani drivers license and an out of date motor insurance document with both his wife, his bothers (whose license I had just found) and his name as named drivers. But, I arrested for a motoring offence but due to his demeanour non cooperation, took him into custody so that I could carryout a prompt and effective investigation. I was immediate ordered to de arrest the male and take off his handcuffs even though the grounds for arrest was valid and legal? However, he states in front of CCTV that he did not have any injuries. I then took him back to his car where we were met by a friend of his. He remained abusive and threatening us with legal action. At no stage did my colleague want to get involved as he later complained that "HE LIVES IN BLACKBURN AND DID NOT WANT TO BE RECOGNISED BY ASIANS". I later contacted the immigration service as I was still not happy with the way this male had acted and was extremely suspicious towards his actions on seeing us and the amount of cash he had in his possession. I was then told that both he and his brother were wanted by immigration for two separate offences. And, that his brother was in this country illegally. The next day, Labour Councillor/Magistrate Mahmood of Corporation Ward, Blackburn contacted the Area Commander and complained on behalf of his close friend the individual who I had arrested the night before and that quote "HAS KNOWN THE FAMILY FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND WOULD GLADLY VOUCH FOR THEM" http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/archive/2009/12/15/Blackburn+town+centre+news+%28blackburntowncentre%29/4795093.Police_probed_over_Blackburn_driver_s__verbal_abuse__claim/ Well if this is true then surly he must have known the immigration status of these two men and as a magistrate is duty bound to report them? And if i was so aggressive and refused to listen to his friend, WHY WOULD I HAVE USED MY PERSONAL MOBILE PHONE TO CALL HIS INSURENCE COMPANY AFTER FINDING THE OUT OF DATE DOCUMENT?? After two other incidents involving members of the Asian community who had committed crimes, one who lost control of his car at 115mph and fully admitted the offence, was constantly being bombarded with notifications of investigation by PSD. Most were for the same offence, but re worded with an add on. Eventually the pressure took its toll and I was ordered to take time off work by my GP. But, it didn’t stop there. My supervisors still visited my home to issue fresh allegations and wanted to visit me the day after my wedding with another one. My colleague later that night did not complete his notebook as required but decided to take home 3 drunken off duty officers in a marked police car. Later when asked to produce his notebook, could not. I was then informed that he had to approach a supervisor for assistance as he could not produce a statement. The information that he gave could only have been taken off the log which was now RESTRICTED AND COULD ONLY BE ACCCESSED BY A SUPERVISOR AND MORE OR LESS REPLICATED THE COMPLAINANTS COMMENTS as he COULD NOT RECALL THE WHOLE EVENT AND MISSED OUT THE USE OF MY MOBILE PHONE!! I was off work for 6 months and returned to Preston to pack my equipment to move to Manchester. As I opened my locker, it became obvious that a person(s) unknown had been though my personal belongings and a copy of the out of date insurance document that had been told to keep by my supervisor, was missing. However, I had kept my note book with me at home. Fresh allegations were issued to me and eventually I was summonsed to PSD for interview. AT NO STAGE WAS I EVER GIVEN DISCLOSURE BY MY FEDERATION REP but was told not to say too much and NOT TOO DO ANYTHING DRASTIC LIKE HAND MY TICKET IN even though 24 hours later he totaly denied that giving that advise. After 5 hours of interrogation and eventually accused of being a racist even though I have mixed race in my family and my best man was afro Caribbean and many friends and ex colleagues from many religions and walks of life just didn’t make sense. But, Mr Cameron, it didn’t stop there. Eventually I threatened PSD to go public as this was a witch hunt and nothing more than intimidation. I was then summonsed into my Chief Inspectors office and along with my wife, was pressured to resign as I WAS GOING TO BE FOUND GUILTY FOR HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ISSUES. So much for the RIGHT TO A FAIR TRIAL. I was later informed by the force Occupational Health and the NHS team, that I should never have been put into this situation and was not emotionally capable of taking such a drastic decision. Since leaving the force, I have regressed further into depression and learnt that I am not the only officer to have been treated in the disgusting manner which and wonder what why I gave 35 years of my life into the defence of democracy and justice that you and your government are so eager to promote. How may other officers have to go through this and, if they are prepared to treat their own colleagues in this way, I dread to think how far certain member of the force are prepared top go to get a suspect into court? Please listen to what I am telling you and meet both myself and my wife and assist us in getting the justice we deserve as no one is prepared to listen and help us fight for our rights and the rights of other officers.
