We, the students living in the Residence Halls, hereby petition the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona to change the frequency of the ringing bells from once every 15 minutes to no less than once every hour.
The constant ringing of the bells every 15 minutes disturbs the students in many ways. The bells wake up students who sleep during some part of the day. Students who try to study lose their concentration as a result of the bells.
