Re: A God-sent Message Urging a Renewed Commitment to Peace and Mutual COEXISTENCE in the Mid-East
Dear President Eliasson:
By Gods grace, and out of necessity, I am compelled to send this message requesting that YOU respectfully consider formulating and instituting a General Assembly resolution, on your own accord, in the memory and honor of two former world leaders, Israels former Prime Minister Mencheim Begin, and Egypts former President Anwar el Sadat for their heroic commitment to Peace, evidenced by their signing the Mid-East Peace Accord on March 26, 1979. This March will be the 27 anniversary of their signing of the Peace Accord at Camp David, along with former U.S. Presdient James "Jimmy" Carter. In view of the current unrest and escalated levels of violence, would it not be an appropriate and timely action for the United Nations to commemorate March 26th as a day of renewed commitment to the mid-East Peace effort in their name and memory? Would not such a resolution send a fundamental message to all nations of the world of the need to mutually coexist? God knows too many people have already lost their lives in the mid-East conflict in the ensuing period.
You are undoubtedly a man of great commitment, compassion and fortitude to have been blessed to be in the position as President of the General Assembly and are equally as wise to know what needs to be done. Therefore, I pray in Gods name, and in the interests of humanity, that you will give this message your full and immediate consideration.
In closing, as an individual and nonmember of the UN, I express my deepest appreciation to you, and each member nation and their respective representative(s) for the commitment and spirit of cooperation to peace, embedded in the UN Charter. I took the liberty to enclose a symbol of peace, exemplifying the fundamental message to COEXIST; inspired in part by Sadats and Begins enduring legacy. With all due respect, I pray, by Gods enduring Grace, Peace will prevail, as failure is not a viable option. Thank you for your time, commitment and consideration.
