Below are some reasons for our beliefs:
~ The polo shirts are uncomfortable and fit badly; the material irritates some people's skin, especially around the necks.
~ Wearing polo shirts does not stop people from being judged on what brands they wear, as some buy brand name 'polo' shirts while others wear much cheaper shirts. This is just as noticeable as with the clothes we wore before.
~ Wearing polo shirts as opposed to other colour-coded shirts on normal school days doesn't improve our safety as anyone can wear -for example- a black polo shirt and pants, and be accepted as a student when in fact they aren't.
~ The polo shirts strip us of our individuality as it prevents students from being able to express themselves through what they wear.
~ What we wear does not effect our learning and behaviour. The school should be more concerned with our learning than what we wear.
~ The polo shirts/strict colour code, seems to be a half answer, not a uniform or free dress, so we don't really know where we stand.
