i am currently a member of an xbox live clan called "die as one". we currently have 2 very important members of our clan who happen to be deaf,now one of the biggest problems they face on live is that they very often get kicked out of a game because the dont have a microphone,people think they either have no mic or are being rude when joining a game,this can be very disheartening for them and puts them off joining in with games on live,we know these guys already when they join our game and can explain to others why they dont speak,we also chat to them on their pc's on msn while playing games,this is very important to them as they can chat along with the rest of the clan this way.
The other day one of our clan members Gee2909 came up with what we thought was a stroke of genius,he suggested that why dont games companys and microsoft have the option of selecting an icon to replace the microphone option on screen with a deaf symbol. that way all players would know that the person joining the game was deaf,sadly it may not stop them being kicked out of the game but at least it would give them a fighting chance.
our clan are doing this on their behalf asthey are the two of the nicest guys around and really good friends,also they are very important to our clan and it wouldnt be the same without them and i wanted the xbox live community to stand up and take notice of this idea.
