Designated Motorcycle Parking for 13100 Northwest Freeway

We, the undersigned, support the creation of designated motorcycle and motor scooter parking in the parking garage of 13100 Northwest Freeway, Houston, Texas. Recognizing that motorcycles and motor scooters can reduce traffic congestion on the streets of the city, but have no designated parking; we call upon Caldwell-Watson to create parking for such Powered Two Wheeled Vehicles (PTWs). The motorcycle parking should have features such as metal or cement pillars to protect the motorcycles from damage in the event an automobile entered the designated area. It also should be in an area near pedestrian traffic to lessen the chance of theft (e.g., near the smoking area or walkway to the rear entrance.) In addition, the area should be visibly marked as an area specifically for motorcycles. A motorcycle-friendly parking policy should be part of Caldwell-Watsons overall traffic congestion and environmental protection agenda. A motorcycle-friendly parking policy is forward-thinking in an era where you want to get as many single drivers out of large vehicles as you possibly can.
