We kindly ask all airline companies to consider launching a DIRECT FLIGHT FROM NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE TO LISBON, in particular because:
- There is an increasing number of Portuguese and Brazilian people in the North East of England who would regularly use this route (Portuguese because it is their capital city, and Brazilians because of the connecting flights to Brazil, as well as family connections in Lisbon).
- A growing interest among North East holiday makers in one of Europe's undiscovered cities.
- The closest direct flight to Lisbon is from Liverpool, a three hour trip from Newcastle.
