The UPSC Has with effect from 2011 made English Comprehension compulsory as part of PaperII of Preliminary Examination of 2011 held on 12th June 2011 which comprised 9 Questions on English Comprehension carrying 2.5 marks each.
The portion definitely favours those who have studied through English Medium and adversely effect those whose medium is other than English.It gives undue advantage to English Group and discriminates against others.
