This Petition is to request that the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) updates the Federal Do Not Call Registry to include both Charities and Survey Takers as options on the Do Not Call Registry alongside the default Telemarketer setting.
Those who still wish to receive unsolicited phone calls from Survey Takers and Charitable Organizations would still have the option of receiving them (ie: you'd have to check a box upon entering your number or updating your registration saying you don't want to receive any calls from either Charitable Organizations , Surveyors or both) , but Telephone Subscribers who are overrun with calls from these type of organizations should not be forced to put up with them without an option simply because they are not selling something.
