Steamboat Minnehaha is a historical boat that once was part of the Thomas Lowry's "Twin City Rapid Transit" on Lake Minnetonka. In the early 1900's this boat one once a way to get to the attraction "Big Island". Since the automotive boom, this put the island and steamboats boats out of business. Since 1980 the boat has been worked on for restoration, and today it is back and running.
This boat should be allowed access to the island it used to go to every summer, bringing over 1,500 to the island everyday. Please sign the petition for the Steamboat to be able to dock and allow passenger access to the Veteran's Camp on Big Island for the spring and summer of 2010 and maybe for many more years.
