In the midst of a city that is publicized for riots, earthquakes, and gang violence The World Festival of Sacred Music - The Americas blossomed as an unprecedented community expression of peace and fellowship. The festival turned to music to affirm a commitment to create a culture of human kindness and universal responsibility for generations to come. It was a massive and inspiring effort that could only be brought to fruition through the grassroots support of thousands. It even garnered the blessing of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who opened the nine-day event.
