Halt Development of Valve Software's Source Engine

We, the undersigned, wish for Valve software to stop all development on its "Source" game engine, in use for their next title "Half-Life 2" and revert the graphics technology back to Half-Life 1. Since half-life 1's graphics are universally lauded as the number one in the world, beating other next generation titles such as "Doom3" by id Software, as well as many other upcoming titles, we believe the move back to the Half-Life 1 codebase will allow the sequel to have much better graphics. Currently Half-Life 2 is not graphically better than perhaps id Software's Doom 2, as is the current consensus in the gaming community. We simply seek to remedy this by bringing back the top graphics in the world from the long forgotten Half-Life 1, benefitting the gaming community greatly with not only advanced realism and excitement, but new gameplay opportunities as well.

We hope this petition is regarded seriously by Gabe Newell and the other developers at Valve Software.
