On September 23, 2008, my father was killed while cleaning debris from a road
in Montgomery Texas after a motor vehicle accident. One lane was closed off but
the lady that hit my father changed lanes in a no passing zone at the posted
rate of speed. The law states to either change lanes if it is a multi lane same
direction or reduce your speed by 20 MPH. Charges are still in the process in
regards to the lady that killed my father. Since his accident another wrecker
driver was hit and received injuries while on a police scene.
I want to petition Montgomery County to require that the closest lane (s) to
the scene be closed off. For the protection of everyone on scene. This would
include, Police, Fire, EMS, And Pedestrians.
I want the safety of everyone involved.
