Helping KWMR move on.

We, the undersigned, want to thank Kay Clements for fifteen years of loyal and effective service to KWMR and this community and we honor her for the gracious way she has left the position at the helm of the station as Station Manager. We strongly object to the handling of her departure by the board and find their methods not in keeping with our community values. We appreciate the public admission of fault and the apology expressed by ex-president Sheri Clyde and her subsequent appropriate resignation.

We, the undersigned, strongly urge that Bill Braasch and Helen Chapman follow Mrs. Clyde's action and submit their resignations immediatly from the board of KWMR for their part in this action. We also propose that the board take no further permanent actions, such as the hiring a new station manager, before the board can be adequately reconstituted with membership that has the full confidence of the KWMR community. We continue to support KWMR and the staff and recommend an active search for qualified new board members. Because we believe in what KWMR represents, COMMUNITY RADIO, we commit to the KWMR reconstruction process.
