We the undersigned come together before you to request that each of these governing bodies bring forth a Federal Holiday for Hispanic Community.We would like the opportunity for Hispanic community be recognized as strong leaders and contributors of this great American Country, both in the present day and historically.
The Hispanic community also would like consideration of this opportunity to be considered at all levels of goverment. The Hispanic community is part of the fabric of this great nation and with all our contributions that have been made to America it is with no doubt or reservation that the Hispanic community deserves a day recognition.
These contributions vary from the military, goverment,education,science,sports,and theater.
This would pay tribute to all American Citizens that descend from these Countries and Caribbean Islands, Cuba,Dominican Republic,Puerto Rico,Belize,Costa Rica, El Salvador Guatemala,Honduras,Nicaragua,Panama,Argentina,Bolivia,Brazil,Chile,Colombia,Ecuador,Paraguay,Peru,Portugal,Spain,Uruguay,Venezuela, and Mexico.
