Impeach Bush/Cheney NY20

Dear Representative Gillibrand:

We, the undersigned constituents of the 20th Congressional District, ask you, as our representative, to either sign on to HR 333, the resolution to impeach Dick Cheney, or sponsor your own resolution to begin impeachment proceedings against President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

The Constitution recommends impeachment as the remedy for high crimes and as you know, we are clearly dealing with such issues. You, in fact, ran on the importance of stopping the Bush/Cheney war machine. We the undersigned implore you to carry out your sworn duty to enforce, honor and protect our Constitution and in so doing, act to save our imperiled democracy.

There is yet another level of urgency. Recent reports strongly suggest that Bush and Cheney are coming together on the nightmarish plan of a preemptive attack against Iran. Dick Cheney and George Bush are not only incompetent and criminal; they are positive menaces to global society. We feel that the level of opposition must rise. Indeed, it could well be that only impeachment proceedings can halt this countryХs involvement in yet another senseless war.

We ask you to justify our faith in you as an elected representative and lead on this critical issue. We ask you to clearly and unmistakably put Impeachment On The Table.
