Dear Principal Kiely and the Camden Catholic High School Administration:
We, the Junior Class of 2008 of Camden Catholic High School, believe that under no circumstances should our senior privilege, which we have long awaited and striven towards, be denied us. The proposed uniform changes in senior wardrobe rob our class and hardworking students of the rewards and comforts that senior polos afford. Additionally, the new dress code ignores and disrespects our collective past four years working diligently in the halls of CCHS. Since freshman year we have been promised senior uniforms, only to have them stricken from us right on the eve of our senior year. We have committed no crime or broken any rule to be deserving of such action; on the contrary, we have done nothing but wait patiently for the day that we too could enjoy the all the promised spoils of senior year.
As such, we, the Junior Class of 2008 request and urge that a compromise be reached which allows the Administration to implement their changes to underclassmen uniforms while still allowing our class the privilege of senior uniforms, as per the dress code of the 2006-2007 school year. We will push for what is rightfully ours until justice is served.
