The International Astronomical Union stated on 8/24/06 that Pluto is no longer a planet and that our solar system now has 8 planets instead of 9. Pluto has been doing a great job at being a planet since 1930, and we believe it should continue to be the planet we all know and love. As you know, Pluto has been the preferred planet to thousands of people over the years.
And now its ineligible because its oblong orbit overlaps with Neptune's??? Can a planet get some room to breathe here? Please. And now you want to call it a dwarf planet? How are you going to call someone favorite planet a dwarf?
