Mentor High School Anti-Bullying Act

Mentor High School creates an Anti-Bullying weekly check-up during class time (roughly 20 minutes at the start of each Friday). Mentor High School must report findings back to the Board of Education, which then must publish a weekly report available to parents, students, and the media on a full accessible source or site, and distributed by mail to the homes of Mentor residents. It is also wished that an Anti-Bullying club must be enforced at all assemblies and school events, and if there is not one already created, create it so.
As you all may or may or not know, as a result of unmonitored bullying at school and out of the school, even with Mentor High School's knowledge, at least 5 or more students within the last 2 years have committed suicide.
This could have been well prevented if the school had made efforts to monitor the bullying and attempt to stop it in its tracks, but absolutely nothing was done.
Instead, from an inside source, I gained information that an assembly on Tuesday, October 12th, 2010 was held to try and brainwash students that there is nothing wrong and that they must keep on doing whatever they were doing. Almost a cover up or a mock of the events that have occurred, the Principal told students that Mentor was still the best school in the nation and to not listen to the media.
This all has to be put to a stop, and anti-bullying tactics that will decrease the amount of student harrassment, embarrassment, and discrimination (online, offline, and even if the kids live out of the school district) must be set in stone.
This community must work together and make sure that this doesn't happen again, and the school needs to work equally as hard.
