Dear Major League Soccer,

Please let players use whatever name they choose on the back of their jerseys, within practical limits. It is not unprofessional to use one's given name and to discriminate against players not from Brazilian or Portugese decent is to deny many players and fans access to one of the well entrenched traditions of this sport. You are doing a disservice to your players, your fans, and ultimately yourselves.
