Opening of an ASD Unit in Dublin 22 / 24

We are the parents of 11 children who have come together in order to have an ASD unit opened in the Dublin 22/24 area. Our children have autism and in September 2013 our 11 children are due to start school. The ideal setting for these children is in an autism unit but at present it looks a possibility that only 4/5 places will be available in September in Dublin 22/24. This means that 6/7 of our children may not have a place in an ASD unit.
We have already started to get this plan in motion. We have located a school willing to have the unit set up on their premises & we have made the Special Education Needs Officers (SENO), Department of Education and also our local TD's aware of this.
