Parallels Desktop 5 Upgrade Price

Current users would like you to rethink your current upgrade pricing.

For many of us that have been using Parallels Desktop, and have supported the use of your software over the other options available, we find the upgrade price to be unreasonable and even insulting. $50 is too much money to pay for upgrading Parallels Desktop, considering most of us have been paying $50 each time you come out with a release. Your release schedule for new software seems to be averaging to about once a year. It is becoming too expensive for your users to maintain this cycle, and we are considering switching to your competitors who have a more reasonable pricing model.

We feel that perhaps $30 for upgrades is more reasonable, or perhaps discounts based on how many times an individual has upgraded. For example, $10 off per each previous upgrade purchased, or: $50 for version 2 to upgrade to version 5, $40 from version 3 to version 5, $30 from version 4 to version 5.

We enjoy using your software, and hope we can continue to do so at a price point that we, your users, can justify paying. Thank you for your time and considering our request.
