Pass the Magna Carta 1359!

The informal sector is composed of workers who are self-employed and most of those concerned work in very poor conditions. They are not recognized by the government despite them being almost fifty percent of the countrys working force.











The Magna Carta for the Workers in the Informal Sector or House Bill 1359 aims to improve the lives of these undocumented workers through various programs, and more. One of its goals is to return the dignity that they have lost through daily exposure to exploitation and the lack of respect given to them. This, however, will not be effective for the workers of this sector unless they participate, register and make themselves known to the government for each person has a part to fulfill.











The benefits on both sides of the bill the informal sector and the government must be considered in order that this bill may be implemented. In the hopes of true justice and compassion, we pray that this bill be passed. Through the Magna Carta for the Workers in the Informal Sector, rights may be recognized once more and we will be a step closer to showing that our country is a true democratic country.
