This isn't so much a petition as a list of those residents of Prince Edward Island who would like to purchase wind power from PEI Energy Corporation through Maritime Electric's Green Power Program but cannot because the program is fully subscribed.
We think it is important that M.E., PEI Energy Corporation and the Province of PEI have a good understanding of the demand that still exists for sustainable wind power so progress and expansion of projects at North Lake and North Cape are not delayed or hindered and as many residents are offered the choice to buy green power as soon as possible.
