PETITION FOR A CYCLE PATH GRAVESEND TO THE CYCLOPARK

The Cyclopark is located just outside Gravesend, within the former A2 corridor. It will include a new multi-purpose pavilion and cycle, skateboard and BMX tracks. Artland’s North Kent has commissioned artist Anna Best to work in collaboration with the Cyclopark and residents of Gravesend. The commission has been developed to respond to the unique qualities and aspirations of the Cyclopark and engage local communities in the park’s future role as a space for sport, leisure and tourism. At the moment there is no safe cycle route from the town centre to the Cyclopark and anyone wishing to cycle there has to negotiate busy roads with heavy traffic. We, the undersigned, support a designated cycle path from Gravesend town centre to the Cyclopark in order that residents of Gravesend are able to fully benefit from the new facility.
