Petition for Audit of CBC and removal of Robert Rabinovitch, CBC President

We, the viewers, listeners, readers, supporters and staff of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's media services, call for a complete investigation and audit of the CBC, for examination of the consistent record of mismanagement on the part of its senior executives, and for the immediate removal of the CBC's President, Robert Rabinovitch, pending the results of such investigation. While the management-created labour crisis of August 15 to October 3 2005 is now resolved, several issues demand to be addressed and appropriate measures of justice taken. These include:

- the suspension of crucial services for hundreds of thousands of Canadians during that time,
- the resulting redirection of more than 25 million dollars (Canadian) to unknown purposes,
- the damage to CBC's brand and place in the Canadian communications marketplace, and
- the unethical and reckless labour policy undertaken by management, subsequently abandoned at management's convenience.
