On November 09, 2010 at approximately 9:30PM EST, Turbine handed out a multitude of player bans of the online role playing game Dungeon and Dragons Online for an alleged violation of their Code of Conduct (http://www.ddo.com/component/content/article/467-code-of-conduct). Specifically, the email directed at players cited violation of rule 17 of the Code of Conduct: "You will not exploit, distribute or publicly communicate any game error, miscue or bug which gives an unintended advantage within the Dungeons & Dragons Online game world. Bugs should be reported via the in-game Bug Reporting Form."

Later review by Turbine showed the banning to be in error. (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=285262). A short apology was issued from Turbine with a 100 Turbine Point credit in an effort to rectify the Turbine's error. Turbine Points are used to buy in game items and have no monetary value themselves outside the game. However, Turbine has yet to adequately compensate the affected players for the emotional harm resulting from the false accusation, the loss of playing time, and the breach of contract resulting in their willful failure to provide a contracted for service. Additionally, Turbine has expunged and made unavailable threads in their forum discussing Turbine's error and even issued further sanctions for posters in those threads.

Recognizing the strict harm perpetrated by Turbine we demand:

1. Monetary compensation for the lost playing time resulting from Turbines error in the form of a credit to affected players accounts where the players paid for a subscription to content (VIP Players).

2. Other than monetary compensation for the emotional harm perpetrated by Turbine for false accusations of cheating and failure to implement proper review procedures where a disproportionately high number of players are affected. (Creation of specific in-game items, such as the mentioned "Malfunctioning Banhammer" (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=3401696&postcount=446), in-game armor or cosmetic items relevant to the mistake such as the "I survived the Mabar Event's Raging Banhammer" T-shirt, etc...). This applies to both VIP and free-to-play players alike.

3. A change in Turbine policy requiring disclosure of the specific actions by players which result in any issued ban to those affected players other than a general statement of wrongdoing.

4. A quick appeal process (less than one (1) business day) with human interaction for review of any issued ban with monetary credit and 500 Turbine Points issued to any player found to be banned erroneously.

5. Clear disclosure of what actions by players can result in banning by Turbine. Similar to the outdated version available here: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=172475.
