Our association, along with other organizations for the protection of Human Rights, has expressed strong criticism of Iran's inclusion in the Commission for Protection of the Rights of Women. Iran is among the countries with the highest trample the rights of women. The clerical regime that drives this country is a strong misogynist regime where the woman is considered an inferior being. Exists in Iran stoning for women who are guilty of minor offenses such as adultery. This is clearly demonstrated in the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani and other women sentenced to stoning - Maryam Ghorbanzadeh, Kobra Babai and Azar Bagheri are three of them -. How can those who commit such atrocities sit on a committee so important? How can you think that Iran defends the rights of women? The United Nations must remedy this thing is absolutely ridiculous. It 's like putting a wolf guarding a flock of lambs.
Mr. Secretary General, Mr. President's Commission on Women's rights, Ambassadors to the UN, the UN must regain a semblance of dignity and immediately expel Iran from the Committee on Women's rights. Only by doing so the committee can really achieve its objectives. Put an end to this absurd paradox and this shameful insult to all women in the world.
