It is our understanding that the CRTC approved the transmission of ProSiebenSat.1Welt television programming.
This German language program is being distributed in in Canada by the Ethnic Channels Group Ltd.. At the present, only Rogers Cable TV offers the ProSiebenSat.1Welt channel to its subscribers. It is well received by Rogers customers.
Unfortunately, viewers outside the reach of Rogers Cable TV cannot receive the program, leaving the rest of Canada without this service.
ProSiebenSat.1 would be a wonderful way to enhance the life of the many senior citizens in our ethnic community at their old age. It could be also an invaluable tool to many German language schools across the country.
Taking on ProSiebenSat.1Welt would further present an excellent business opportunity for a satelite service. Since the German community is made up mostly of home owners, they quite often are not within reach of cable service.
We urge you, Bell Expressvu and Star Choice, to make this channel available to all your current and future subscribers across Canada.
It is our hope that you will add this new channel to your line up as soon as possible.
