PSP Changes

Paintballers across the world have read and attempted to understand the recent changes to the 2011 PSP tournament series. Many of us are at a loss for adequate words to express how we feel about the changes as they seem to be poorly formulated as well as implemented in a structured and methodical way.
The sport of paintball is one in which millions of athletes enjoy every year, and the PSP has been the 'staple' of tournament paintball in the United States. The world cup is seen by paintballers world wide to be the pinnacle of tournaments, and preparation and hard work go in for the few months leading up to the tournament in order to be crowned "world cup champs".
What we, the Undersigned, find most absurd about the changes is with regards to the local fields interests and profit generation, or lack of consideration for the aforementioned. By increasing the size of the field as well as the removal of the layouts, local fields will suffer, this is not debatable. As ambassadors of the sport as well as athletes, we require local fields to stay operational and profitable in order for us to practice and improve.
Paintball is a lifestyle and organized sport that we, the undersigned, do not want to fade because we know that deep down inside, the memories created by playing the sport we love, will not.
We encourage you to rethink the changes proposed and seek more public input as to what can be done to improve the sport we love.
