Public Apology From James Allen

The above recently had an article posted on ITV-F1.com about the rise of Lewis Hamilton and the backlash that has happened to said driver.
James made the following comments:
I was aware as the season went on of a growing anti-Hamilton lobby in F1 and among the public.
There is a racist element in there, it would be naпve to say otherwise, but it is also born out of jealousy. Some people just cant handle seeing a new star getting plaudits.
But Hamilton is beyond all that. Hes not a Spice Girl or a new footballer, hogging the headlines. Hes the real deal and even the most sour and bitter person has to admit that, if they know anything at all about racing.
Perspective is always hard. It only comes with experience, but then again experience tends to make people jaundiced and cynical.
As a seasoned F1 fan I find these comments defamatory and completely unfair. He speaks like everybody must worship Lewis, when in reality everybody has the right to support and to dislike any driver, it doesn't makes you stupid to do so, we are all different and think differently, that's the beauty of this world.
How dare James suggest the only reason people dont like Lewis is because of how well he is doing, and even worse pull the racism card! I find this so offending to every F1 out there and also to Lewis. Im sure hell be delighted when he reads what James has said.
I am no Hamilton fan and I am also no racist. I am also the fan of the WDC, so why would I be jealous.
Quite simply I think ITV should take away the privilege of commentating on the races, if not sack him for these comments.
To ITV
The undersigned all find James Allens above comments defamatory and degrading. We may not support Lewis Hamilton, but we see no reason that someone in James privileged position should be allowed to say there is a racist element to this dislike. If a normal person said these kinds of comments they would be in a lot of trouble.
At the very least we expect a public apology on the ITV site to fans of all races, all over the world.
