'RADICAL' Environmentalists UNITE !!

The Harper Government and Enbridge are trying to convince BC Citizens that a pipeline through some of the most beautiful, pristine land in the country is in our best interest. Enbridge, with a horrible record of 804 spills since 1999, (the latest as of yesterday Jan 10 in the Gulf of Mexico) says that this will be their safest yet. This pipeline would carry the dirtiest form of oil on the planet through harsh, mountainous land, where any attempt to fix a leak or work a spill will be severely compromised by the geography. In addition, the pipeline would cross over 660+ fish-bearing rivers and then end up in Kittimat where super-tankers would load up and navigate through narrow channels and some of the roughest waters and weather on the planet ! Harper will also try to legislate his way to a fast-tracking of consent on the matter, minimizing time for democratic process in terms of discussion on the issue, where 4300+ speakers are wanting to have their say in Kittimat. Furthermore, Harper has in the past, influenced the National Energy Board in order to get Big Oil unfair advantage in the building of pipelines. Are we going to stand idly by as our so-called Government puts a loaded gun on our future and the environment that we need to sustain LIFE ??? Are we going to let Big Oil dictate Government policies while short-changing our environment for the benefit of a few, serving the Asian market ?? NO !! THE RISKS OUTWEIGH THE BENEFITS !! If Harper wants to 'brand' us as Radicals for caring about Canada's environment, then so bit. WE are Radicals !!! Stop the Northern Gateway Project NOW !!
