Soy milk is a dairy alternative becoming widely used in the United States and none of the containers they come in (perishable or non-perishable) are recyclable. Soy milk distributors such as Silk, Soy Dream, and Soy Delicious, to name a few, do not use recyclable containers. The distributors must sell their soy milk in recyclable containers. A vast majority of people who drink dairy alternatives are doing so in an effort to be healthy and are likely to be concerned with the health of the environment they live in as well. This is why this lack of responsibility on otherwise socially conscious companies is so appalling and all the more reason it can and should be remedied quickly.
