Same Sex Marriage in New Zealand

I move that the New Zealand Government legalise same-sex marriage. The practise of discriminating against homosexuals is antiquated and this country needs to move with the times. A marriage should be validated by the depth and quality of emotion which one person has for another, and not by what gender the two people happen to be born as. I believe this is a right which has been denied for too long and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
