San Tan Valley and Queen Creek are ready for Fresh & Easy!

Fresh & Easy built a store in San Tan Valley (near Queen Creek) at the corner of Ocotillo and Ironwood (Gantzel) in approximately 2009. The chain subsequently decided to indefinitely delay opening this store, due to the local economy and the chain's own growth/financial issues. In 2010, F&E closed roughly 6 stores around the Phoenix area (notably most of these stores were exceptionally close to other F&E stores) and apparently further delayed opening on the San Tan Valley store.
The closest F&E stores to San Tan Valley, Queen Creek and the surrounding unincorporated areas of Pinal County is roughly 10-20+ miles (and a 20-30+ minute drive). These stores are located at Higley/Ray and Higley/Queen Creek in Gilbert.
San Tan Valley's and Queen Creek's retail grocers and big-box stores are busy and often unbearably overcrowded. More grocery retailers are needed to meet the needs of this growing community. Other retailers have deemed this area worthy of new stores. In the past year this area has welcomed The Olive Garden, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty Supply, Rue 21, Denny's and more. Fresh & Easy, we want to welcome you too!
The new Walgreen's store (2010) located adjacent to the future F&E location at Ocotillo/Ironwood is continually busy with in excess of 10-12 cars in the parking lot. Walgreen's sells milk, bread and a limited selection of dairy, frozen food and pantry items, and these items are frequently sold out or low in stock due to the abundance of grocery shoppers in this area.
We believe this area can support an additional grocery store. We believe that shoppers from all parts of San Tan Valley, Queen Creek and the surrounding areas would shop at this store.
I love shopping F&E on the rare occasion I am near one, and I know if this store opened I would do the majority of my grocery shopping there. From speaking to countless members of my community, I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I know that there are thousands of residents in my immediate area who would support this store.
