Save Kasia Ye Pyaar Hai From Going Off Air

The following is a letter to Ms. Ekta Kapoor trying to explain to her how important her show Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai for me and for many around the world. I wish to prove to her that Kaisa Ye Pyaar is one of the most loved shows around the world and that it should not end in December 2006/January 2007.

"Dear Ms. Ekta Kapoor,

My name is Tamanna Chibber and I am a student living in Canada. I love watching Indian Soap Operas and my favourite is Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai. Now you may be wondering as to why I am writng to you. I am writing to you to save my favourite show from going off air. Ever since Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai started I have loved every moment of it. Angad and Kripa fighting, Angad and Kripa in love, and Angad and Kripa in their special moments. I have loved every bit of it. During school, life is very stressed out, I barely get time to do my favourite activities. But, I always find time to watch Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai. Someway or the other I have to watch it. When I wake up, I reassure myself by saying, "okay, atleast I will be able to watch Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai." The show has brought a new life into my life. It's one reason why I want to live because I want to watch the show and I want to experience life the way Angad and Kripa have.

I absolutely love Angad and Kripa. They are absoloutely fantastic. They look perfect together. If either of them stopped acting in the show, I would stop watching the show.

I realize the fact that I am one person and cannot do much to prevent my favourite show from ending. However, there are so many other people who most definitely want the show to continue. Everyone that I know in Canada absoloutely loves the show. I know it does not matter what people so far away think of the show, but I am trying to make you realize that there are thousands of people out there who absoloutely love this show and love to watch the romantic moments between Angad and Kripa, the eye locks between the two, Angad's anger, and Kripa's crying. I know for a fact I do.

For you this is a business and whatever is not making profits for you, needs to end. Therefore, I understand your reasoning that despite a heavy star cast of Iqbal, Neha, Hiten and Gauri, the TRP's are low. But, you should not forget the fact that at one point Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai was at the number one position. It was the most popular show in India. I personally think that you need to add more drama into the show at this point.

I am no one to mock creative geniuses such as yourself, however, I do have some opinions. I do not know where you are trying to take the story, however, I think,for example, that when Nishant and Kripa decided to have a fake marriage, the audience should have been unaware that it will be a fake marriage. We should have found out when Angad found out, to continue the suspense. I think you need to keep certain facts hidden from the public, to grasp more of their attention. The promos are always very interesting but then sometimes the actual episode dissapoints. For example, the promo for the episode where it showed that Nishant and Kripa were getting married and Angad came to try to stop it, was extremely interesting. However, it was extremely obvious that it was Kripa's dream. This dissapoints many viewers.

Anyways, these are just some of my opinions please do not take them to heart. I love Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai and I cannot be at peace until I watch the show. If you visit many forums on the internet, you will find that Kaisa Ye Pyaat Hai and its characters are extremely popular. I am part of www.india-forums.com, and if you visit that web site you will find several die-hard fans for the show not wanting it to end. I know I am going a little further than I should be as a viewer, but I truly love this show and I could not bear the fact that it was ending. Please Ms. Ekta Kapoor, take my plea into consideration before finalizing the fact that you want to end it. There are so many more sectors to explore with the show.

I understand that Iqbal and Neha do not want to age in the show. As a personal note to them, everyone still loved Kusum even after she was portrayed as an older woman, everyone still loved Simran and Abhimanu from Astitva even after they were portrayed as an older couple. Acting is about exploring evey area of life and spreading your magic everywhere, not limiting yourself to certain roles. Ms Ekta Kapoor, you are a very renowned person and I doubt that you will be able to read my letter, however, I put my case forward, and now the ball is in your court. Thank-you and all the best in your future endeavours."
