Save Robert Sugden

Talented actor Karl Davies has been axed from popular soap Emmerdale. His character Robert Sugden is an integral part of the show and we feel this is a totally unfair move. The Sugdens are the only remaining original family from the soap (which to start with was totally centred around the Sugdens for many years) and Robert is the only true Sugden left in his generation (with the exception of younger sister Victoria). He may not be the nicest character in the programme, but isn't that what soaps are all about??? Robert is someone people love to hate and we feel that he hasn't yet achieved his true potential as a character by any means. There are many more arguments for keeping Robert's character and we also feel that Karl Davies is a talented actor who given more storylines could prove himself even further.
