We the undernoted, kindly request that you join our petition to save the closure of a very valuable asset in Glasgow.
Glasgow City Council wish to close St Raymond's Primary School in Castlemilk and move the pupils to alternate schools in the area.
St Raymonds Primary School is a modern building in the outskirts of Castlemilk. It is surrounded by a combination of open space and woodland. It is a school for pupils with Additional Support Needs, some of whom exhibit challenging behaviour and social and emotional problems.
The catchment area encompasses the south side of the city of Glasgow.
Glasgow City Council in May 2010 insisted there was no closure plans being discussed for the School, but now proposals to close this vital School are now being discussed.
We hope as many people as possible will sign this petition to show support for St Raymond's School and for the pupils who depend on it for the educational needs.
