Sex Offenders, A Parents Rights Ignored

The system that we entrust to ensure our childrens safety has failed. The system has failed because as the other parent we are very limited, when it comes to our ex spouses having convicted sexual offenders living with our children. How would you feel if your children had to return from the safety of your home to their other parents house, were a sexual offender lives with your former partner and will inevitably be around your children on a regular basis? I am a parent with shared custody, I pay child support even though I have my children three and a half days a week, I take extremely good care of my kids while they are here because I love them and they are my world.But the system has told me its okay for them to live with a sexual offender while they are not in my home. I feel like sex offenders have more rights than I do concerning my children. There are so many cases of sexual offenders being repeated sexual convicts. Would you like for your child to be a child living with a sexual offender?
I think it takes a certain type of person to become a sexual offender. There are very obvious reasons, such as mental illnesses or lack of morals and ethics. For myself, that is enough to make me loose sleep, stay stressed out and just generally be miserable. Imagine for a moment if you will how the very idea would affect your work performance and in cases like mine college performance. Here I am trying to better educate myself to provide a stable home for my children, and the whole time Im in class or work when my cell phone goes off, the first though going through my mind is if he did something to my children to harm them. This has become unbearable for me as it would be for you if you were in the situation, so please here a parents cry for help and join me before its to late for my children or yours. Help raise your voice with mine and everyone whose children are endangered because the system has refused to protect them.
